Proposal of My Hazard Map System for Disaster Prevention Education
摘要
In this study, a “My Hazard Map System” is developed that can visualize dangerous places in the event of a disaster on school routes. This system, which is primarily designed for the younger generation, especially elementary school students, requires the students take photographs of places or objects on their route to school that could be dangerous in the event of a disaster. They can take pictures of objects, such as block walls, telephone poles, and vending machines, and send them to a server. As the images sent to the server include data on their latitude and longitude, the images are mapped to Web-GIS according to the location information. This allows elementary school students to create their own digital “My Hazard Map.”
