摘要

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are a technology that is not only cost-effective but also easily deployable and has a high level of robustness. But, WMNs have several issues related with wireless communication. By optimizing the location of mesh routers is possible to deal with these issues. However, the node placement problem is an NP-hard problem. To deal with this problem, we propose and implement an intelligent simulation system based on the Cuckoo Search (CS) algorithm, called WMN-CS. In this paper, we present evaluation results for computation time and different number of nests. The simulation results show that a good performance is archived when the number of nests is more than 60. However, the computation time increases linearly with the increase of the number of nests.
