摘要

The 5th Generation (5G) wireless networks mark the transition towards Ultra-Dense Heterogeneous Networks (UDHetNets), characterized by densely packed network and a diverse range of networks serving user devices. This evolution brings the challenge of efficiently connecting to optimal Radio Access Technology (RAT). This is a complicated task because there are involved many parameters, which makes it an NP-Hard problem. In order to deal with this issue, in this paper we introduce a Fuzzy-based system and implement a testbed for RAT selection in 5G networks. We consider three input parameters: Coverage (CV), User Priority (UP) and Spectral Efficiency (SE). The output parameter of the decision-making process is Radio Access Technology Decision Value (RDV). The testbed results demonstrate that by increasing CV, UP, and SE values the RDV is increased.
