This qualitative research was conducted by using data gleaned from 7 participants: 1 museum mediator, 1 tour guide, 1 sculptor, 1 plastic artist, 1 photographer, 1 mathematics teacher, and 1 tourist. The general objective of this study was to understand how the dialogical approach of ethnomodelling contributes to the understanding of the concept of golden ratio found in eighteenth century Aleijadinho’s sculptures to contribute to the process of teaching and learning mathematics through the development of ethnomodels. The results obtained in this study favored a new awareness and appreciation of these sculptures, protected by UNESCO. Also, it has shown a valorization and respect for the local culture, and an understanding of the possibilities studying proportionality in these sculptures.

摘要
