The inclusion of simulation within the modelling process is often associated with the use of new technologies and the integration of professional contexts. In this context, simulation is integrated in the approach to modelling proposed by the anthropological theory of the didactic and the related instructional proposal of study and research paths. The examination of two case studies, where simulation plays varying roles in the modelling processes, highlights new teacher professional needs related to how modelling is conceptualised and managed in schools. It also suggests new opportunities to enhance the teaching of modelling by integrating simple simulation processes at school.

摘要

The inclusion of simulation within the modelling process is often associated with the use of new technologies and the integration of professional contexts. In this context, simulation is integrated in the approach to modelling proposed by the anthropological theory of the didactic and the related instructional proposal of study and research paths. The examination of two case studies, where simulation plays varying roles in the modelling processes, highlights new teacher professional needs related to how modelling is conceptualised and managed in schools. It also suggests new opportunities to enhance the teaching of modelling by integrating simple simulation processes at school.
