Discussion

This chapter presents an overview of the major findings of the study of Goldblatt’s translation of Mo Yan’s novel Sheng Si Pi Lao, also considering the broader implications of Goldblatt's translation for Chinese literary translation. A critical review of Goldblatt’s translation is also presented, as well as some suggestions for future C-E translation centring on a new model of C-E literary translation.
