The Study

This chapter introduces the research methodology of the study, including the research design, presentation of the translation examples, data collection and methods of analysis. Some key concepts which can help improve understanding of Goldblatt’s translation of Sheng Si Pi Lao in relation to the subsequent analysis of poetological and ideological factors are also introduced.
