摘要
The important physical variables and concepts that will enable understanding of how the musical instruments work and how sound propagates are introduced in this chapter. The basic variables of physics that relate to musical acoustics are presented. Waves are introduced as they apply to musical instruments. Finally, the structure and response of the human ear to music is discussed.
