The Voice Group

摘要

The voice is arguably the most complex of all instruments. No other instrument significantly changes shape while it is in operation. The voice is the oldest musical instrument, as it has been around since humans evolved. The human voice is the only one that can speak in words. The voice and hearing pair well, since the sensitivity of the human ear is between 1–4 kHz ( \(\text{B}:5\) – \(\text{B}:7\) ), where much of the vocal resonances occur. The operation of the human voice has been compared to brass instruments, in that the vocal folds oscillate similar to the brass player’s lips. The main difference is that the vocal tract is not a fixed tube.
