Equipment, Tools, and Techniques

The choice of telescopes and tools that an Outreach Astronomer can use at an event is as varied as the many types of astronomy events. Each event may require a different set of tools based upon the objective and the audience expected. Listed in this chapter are common astronomy tools that are useful for outreach events along with suggested techniques for using them.
