Planning and Running an Outreach Event

Many astronomy outreach events are simple star parties with telescopes set up for observing. These types of events may be stand alone or part of a larger event such as a school’s annual campout. There are many other kinds of outreach events that can have very different setups, themes, objectives, and audiences. They include presentations, training classes, discussions, question & answer sessions, and much more. Regardless of the type and purpose of the event, thorough planning is always needed.
