Application of Soft Computing for Risk Assessment in the Pipelines

In this article, an attempt was made to justify the use of elements of the theory of fuzzy sets for risk assessment on the example of underwater pipelines, based on the availability of relevant multi-year field data. This methodology can be adapted to the conditions of operation of any systems and objects for which the analysis and assessment of risks are performed. The establishment of fuzzy rationale for risk assessment and the development of a description of the corresponding algorithm are currently the subject of ongoing research.
