Application of Outline Methods for Image Processing

This article discusses the using of contour image processing methods and a two-dimensional bicubic spline model. Classical spatial filters are widely used, but require further image processing in the presence of noise. The use of a two-dimensional local interpolation spline makes it possible to obtain sharper contours of objects and perform image segmentation.
