A Literature Review on Resilience Approaches in the Industry 4.0 Context

The context in which industrial companies evolve obliges them to cope with multiple disruptions that threaten the functioning and the management of their production systems. As a result, two fundamental trends are emerging: Industry 4.0 and the quest for resilience that have to be articulated. As a first step towards this issue, a literature review on resilience approaches in the context of Industry 4.0 is proposed, a preliminary analysis as well. Such a review enables us to provide a big picture of the works on this topic. It will essentially allow to confirm the assumption that the supply chain is the most extensively studied and also the scarcity of models and frameworks integrating the resilience in the management of the production systems. On this basis a research agenda is worked out to fill the gap.
