Thermal Energy Generation
摘要
Thermal energy is of great importance since the majority of energy processes are driven by thermal energy, including some methods of desalination. This chapter presents the methods of thermal energy utilization and generation mainly from renewable energy sources. Especially the biomass, solar thermal, and geothermal energy systems are extensively discussed and presented. Currently, available technologies to utilize renewable energy for heat generation are evaluated within the case studies where unique cases are analyzed by using realistic approaches with high-resolution data as well as commercially available components, when available.
