Failure and Stress Analysis of Cylindrical Springs
摘要
This paper presents the causes of fractures in the column head springs of switchgear. By using fracture spectral material detection, macro-morphological analysis, electron microscope scanning analysis, fracture energy spectrum elemental analysis, the fracture characteristics of the spring and the chemical composition of its fracture material were determined, and it was found that the material of the spring at the fracture was chromium-manganese-type austenitic steel, and that the content of manganese at the fracture was excessive, which reduced the plasticity of the steel and ultimately led to the occurrence of fatigue fracture. In addition, in the above environment, the finite element model of the spring was established, and the stress analysis of the spring was carried out to provide a basis for further optimization of the spring design.
