Proposing an Ethnomodelling Pedagogical Action Contextualized on a Coffee Culture
摘要
This chapter presents an excerpt of the results obtained in the conduction of a master’s degree dissertation in mathematics education, at the Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto, which was conducted with 35 students from the second year of high school, from a private school, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The main objective of this qualitative research was related to the development of a pedagogical action of ethnomodelling in the context of coffee culture. Data from this research were analyzed, and the results were interpreted through an adaptation using grounded theory methodological design with the identification of preliminary codes and conceptual categories. Results show that ethnomodelling provided students with a critical look at their own local context through a pedagogical action that enabled reflection on a multicultural educational experience.
