Competition, Globalisation and International Co-operation: Consequences for Ecological Management

摘要

Since the famous report of the Club of Rome from half a century ago, Limits of Growth (Meadows et al. 1972), the issue of the limits of natural resources has stood in the light for the future of humanityHumanity. The UN report Our Common Future by Brundtland and others (1987) continued in the same vein. The question of regenerative ecosystemsEcosystem offers a fundamental means to overcome these limits. This contribution treats the role of managementManagement in this context as the company is at the centre of the productionProduction of goods and services for a sustainable future. The educational systems, from kindergarten to higher education—especially business schools–and life-long learning must be adapted.
