Gretl (Gnu Regression, Econometrics and Time-series Library) is open-source software, which means you can use the program independently of any purchasing agreements your college, university, or employer might have. Most likely, you do have access to Microsoft Excel, where you can perform many of the tasks presented with Gretl in this book.
