In this chapter, channel allocation is considered spatially. Media such as air and fiber optics allow the transmission of signals through a spatial route, called a link. Thus, it is possible to increase the number of channels to assign, different from those discussed in the previous chapter: by time, frequency, and code. This type of mapping is used in technologies such as Wi-Fi, Li-Fi, Lidar, and LTE.
