Introduction to Communication Systems

  • Julio César García-Álvarez

摘要

A communication system is a set of objects, configured to transmit a message coherently and with a minimum amount of errors. This system can interact with another systems as part of a system of higher hierarchy. However, it always has three basic elements: the transmitter, the channel, and the receiver. A signal interacts between these three elements, representing the action related to the element. Since the signal is a mode of action, the response of a system to a certain action is also another signal, so the description of a system is facilitated by means of an input signal and another system response signal. A signal, independent of its physical source (electrical, mechanical, chemical, etc.), has, at a specific instant in time, a specific value, which makes it a time-dependent function.
