Family Caregiving 101
摘要
This is a story of triumph—a family goes from avoiding all care for their mom (a red flag for getting the patient back home safely) to caring and rallying around their mother. With close attention to family caregiver (FC) cues and accurately identifying the root causes of their hesitancy to provide care, nurses intervened and empowered FCs to be great at family caregiving. The family was given a crash course in family caregiving 101. The family passed with flying colors. This is that success story, a story that took a village of nurses, a CNS and other HCPs—a story to be replicated by nurses handling complex FC situations.
