Family Caregiver Care in Sudden Death Situations
摘要
Dealing with the sudden death of a patient can be stressful, especially for new nurses. Families are often in shock and unsure how to move forward. Taking time to reflect after the sudden death of a patient can help nurses to not only process our emotions but also improve the support of family in one of their darkest moments. It is important to accept and deal with the fact that negative outcomes will happen in your life as a nurse. Grieving is natural, even in the context of the RN–patient and RN–family caregiver (FC) relationship. Patient deaths are never easy.
