Ingrown Toenails

The difficulties encountered in treating ingrown toenails arise mostly out of a lack of appreciation of the underlying anatomy and the pathology of the problem. Conservative management can sometimes solve the problem, but if not, a reliable minor operation may be necessary. Greater consideration should be given to modern, non-surgical, nail matrix ablation techniques.
