Miscellaneous Psychotropic Drugs
摘要
This chapter includes psychotropic drugs used in veterinary psychiatry that do not belong to the families presented previously. It concerns venlafaxine (anxiolytic), trazodone (anxiolytic, antidepressant, and hypnotic), buspirone (anxiolytic), bupropion (antidepressant, also used in nicotine addiction in humans), methylphenidate (stimulant), NMDA antagonists, including ketamine (anesthetic, analgesic), dextromethorphan, and memantine (both anticompulsive), atomoxetine (stimulant used in the treatment of ADHD in humans), and finally cannabinoids (analgesics and anxiolytics in humans). None of these molecules exist as licensed veterinary medications.
