The brain is the central organ of behaviors and their regulations. It is made up of many specialized areas, connected to each other by different circuits that allow the exchange of information. Knowing the major centers of exchange and communication within the brain itself, as well as between the brain and the rest of the body, is an indispensable basis for the practice of veterinary psychiatry.
