Mapping and Conceptualising Eco-Innovation Practices on Environmental Performance

To identify and analyse articles from the Web of Science and Scopus databases, this study utilised scientometricScientometric, bibliometricBibliometric, and visual analytic toolsVisual analytic tools between 2000 and 2022. The bibliometricBibliometric results show that eco-innovationEco-innovation in publications started in 2000 and increased dramatically from 2017 to 2021. The scientometricScientometric analysis found various eco-innovationEco-innovation activities, such as implementing green technologiesTechnologies and having environmental management systemsEnvironmental Management System (EMS). The analytical process demonstrates that people are not very aware of the eco-innovationEco-innovation significance. Most studies reveal that industriesIndustries seem not to be taking environmental activities whenever there are no clear linkages with their benefits. Eco-innovationEco-innovation entails more than simply adhering toRegulation environmentalEnvironmental regulations regulationsRegulation. Being environmentally innovative and gainingMarket marketMarket share through such innovationInnovation is extremely challenging. Additional difficulties relate to the marketMarket, raw materials, and governmental and internal industryIndustries indicators. The four groups promoting eco-innovationEco-innovation are policy-making, environmental management, communication, and marketMarket and technological innovationInnovation.
