On my return from a trip to Egypt I received your kind letter. I hasten to reply that I have no new editions of my “Problemi della Scienza” in view. My later studies, broadened in the social sense, are contained in the volume “Scienza e razionalismo” published by Zanichelli in 1913. Now for some years (compatibly with my work in Mathematics) I have immersed myself in research to reconstruct the earliest history of Greek science.
