Aligning instruction, clinical experiences, and materials to the larger picture is essential as faculty or preceptors assess their practices and receive learner feedback. Evaluation performs as an essential step in the development of curriculum and in the decision-making process regarding if curriculum achieves the anticipated outcomes of programs, courses, and faculty or preceptor performance (Lovato & Peterson, 2019). A strategically planned evaluation must be utilized to ensure collected data are relevant, timely, and accurate in the assessment process.
