Feedback as Formative Practice

  • Ashley N. Gerhardson

摘要

While adaptation to the learner’s level is vital, educators must adapt feedback based on situational context. The goal of the Dreyfus Model fosters the concept of a learner as ever-changing and building an awareness of their skills. Thus, in each situational setting, identifying a variety of applicable feedback methods is essential to reaching all learners in the education setting. Building a learner’s background knowledge is vital to providing contextual and situational awareness. This situational awareness develops as each learner progresses to expert and becomes knowledgeable, thereby establishing intuition in the process.
