Historical Development in Wood Cutting Theory

The historical development of the theory of division and woodworking lags the development of machines and tools. The founder of the theory of wood cutting is the professor at the Petersburg Timber Institute I. Time, who published his first work Resistance of metals and wood to cutting in 1870. A total of 10 scholarly works on wood cutting were published, in which he gave a definition of the cutting process, the classification of wood processing, explains the method of wood processing, and proves that the width and thickness of wood processing have different effects on the wood cutting.
