Study on the Efficiency of SBR Process in Treating Automotive Wastewater

In response to the high CODcr and PO43− pollution indicators, high treatment costs, and unstable operation of wastewater from a certain automobile manufacturing factory in the western region, experiments were organized to treat the wastewater from the enterprise's automobiles and domesticate the sludge, analyze and study the removal efficiency of COD and phosphorus in wastewater by changing the anaerobic time and aerobic aeration time in the SBR process. According to the simulation experimental conditions, the optimal operating conditions without chemicals were determined. When the influent COD and total phosphorus concentrations were 422 and 6.7 mg/L, the effluent concentrations were 50 and 0.8 mg/L, respectively, and the energy efficiency reached 88.2 and 88.0%, respectively. It can achieve the goal of reducing operating costs for enterprises and maintaining the stability of wastewater treatment station cycle operation.
