Analysis of Oil Degradation Effect by Microorganisms in Contaminated Soil Near Oil Wells

In order to explore the best physical and chemical conditions and strains for microbial degradation of petroleum hydrocarbon polluted soil, the soil samples collected from Dashuikeng Town, Yanchi County, Wuzhong City, Ningxia Province, were selected as the research objects to screen the dominant strains and analyze the best physical and chemical conditions for degradation of petroleum hydrocarbon. The experimental results showed that the degradation effect was best when the temperature was 30 ℃, the pH was 8 and the culture days were 10 days. The eight selected strains were identified, and the three strains that handled petroleum hydrocarbons best among the above eight strains. Bacillus megaterium No. 2, Sphingobacterium multivorum No. 8 and Bacillus cereus No. 9, respectively. The results showed that these three bacteria can improve their performance under these conditions. The degradation rates of petroleum hydrocarbons with specific concentration were 79.65%, 80.73% and 76.92%, respectively.
