Experimental Study on Algal Inhibition and Water Purification Effect of Several Floating Plants Combined with Sulfur-Iron Autotrophic Denitrification MBBR Balls

In recent years, with the rapid development of society, water pollution has become increasingly serious, and nitrogen and phosphorus elements in small and micro water bodies have increased, resulting in various degrees of eutrophication and bloom phenomenon in many small and micro water bodies. In this study, six experimental groups were used to study the algal inhibition and water purification ability of light bloom micro-water in the laboratory: belly duckweed group, peony duckweed group, purple duckweed group and three kinds of plants coupled with sulfur and iron autotrophic denitrification MBBR balls group. Each experimental group was tested for 9 days, including 5 indicators: Chl-a, TN, TP, turbidity and rainfall, and the following conclusions were reached: the best algal inhibition effect was in experimental group ⑤: peony duckweed + sulfur iron autotrophic denitrification MBBR balls group, with a algal inhibition rate as high as 82.84%. In terms of water purification, experimental group ⑤: peony duckweed + sulfur iron autotrophic denitrification MBBR balls group also showed the best characteristics of water purification, and the removal rates of TN, TP and turbidity were 85.92%, 100% and 72.41%, respectively. The research results can provide a technical reference scheme for the future management of water blooms.
