Life Cycle Carbon Emission Estimation for Railway Tunnel Construction
摘要
To measure the carbon emissions of railway tunnel construction, this paper divides the construction process into material production stage, material transportation stage and site construction stage. This paper summarizes applicable carbon emission calculation formulas. The calculation formulas are then applied to quantitatively calculate the carbon emission for a certain tunnel project in northwest China, understanding the carbon intensity and key sources of emissions from railway tunnel construction and conduct emissions reduction analysis. According to the results, the case tunnel construction carbon emission intensity is 22,140.638 t_CO2/km, and the carbon emission share of each stage is 73.07%, 10.17% and 16.76% respectively. The material production stage has the highest carbon emissions, with cement and steel production accounting for the majority of carbon emissions, which should be the focus of emission reduction analysis for tunnel construction.
