Vector Optimization (or How to Make Insurmountable Decisions)
摘要
This chapter introduces the basic concepts of solutions for the simultaneous optimization of several objective functions and shows how to compute them by solving suitable scalar problems by means of the methods described in Chapter 3 . The applications of this chapter range from the construction of composite indices and the hiring policies of schoolteachers and future military personnel to a variety of location problems, including the search of underwater archaeological wrecks, the location of hospital ships serving naval deployments and the location of ships for search and rescue along coasts.
