The Early Days in Pisa

  • Daniele C. Struppa

摘要

In this chapter we read about the childhood of Fibonacci, and how his early encounters with nature developed his interest in the properties of numbers. The chapter then continues with Fibonacci adolescent years, until the assignment of his father to a post in North Africa. The chapter contains an appendix on spirals, their mathematics, and their role in nature.
