Overview of DDDAS2022 Panel on Wildfires

The DDDAS2022 Conference featured a Panel on Wildfires, which addressed DDDAS-based modeling and instrumentation methods for the detection, prediction of the onset and propagation of wildfires, smoke generation and spread, as well as utilizing such information for containment of the wildfire; the DDDAS-based wildfire methods also support other emergency response actions, infrastructure safety and evacuation of humans out of the fire and smoke harm’s way. Together with the present overview, papers contributed by the panelists are included in this part of the proceedings.
