A Digital Twin of a Remote Real-Time Accessible Labs

Industry 4.0, which includes artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT), has created new opportunities in various fields, including education, leading to the emergence of Education 4.0. This paper proposes a model for linking education with Industry 4.0 by creating a digital twin of a remote real-time accessible lab. The model combines automation and educational tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) with artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the IoT to enhance the learning experience. A detailed diagram outlines the process of building the proposed digital laboratory is presented. The lab is controlled remotely in real time through virtual reality and combined with an educational platform. To test the model, a servo system mechatronics lab is assembled, and the student and teacher feedback evaluated the efficiency of the digital lab. The study found that the digital lab model increased comprehension and imagination among students, allowing more time for laboratory training, and enabled teachers to evaluate student performance and issue reports. The findings suggest that incorporating modern technologies into education through a digital laboratory model can significantly improve the learning process. The study recommends further integration of advanced techniques in artificial intelligence and industrial applications to enhance the model. Overall, the integration of present industrial technologies into education through the digital laboratory model can optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the learning process.
