Budget Policities Versus Sustainable Development Goal in the Main Spanish Municipalities
摘要
The present work analyses the fulfilment of the reduction of inequalities, corresponding to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 from 2030 Agenda, where we identify the influence of budgetary factors, political ideology and the immigration rate. The study, carried out on the 103 Spanish municipalities with more than 80,000 inhabitants in 2020, shows how the higher the current expenditure per capita and the tax burden, the worse is the compliance of SDG. On the other hand, the results indicate that a greater presence of progressive parties in government has a positive effects to compliance with the SDG, while a greater number of immigrants, compared to citizens, has a negative impact. The results of this research allow progress in the lack of existing literature on the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
