Injections of Anatomical Regions and Diseases: Hip
摘要
The use of ultrasound guidance for infiltration around the hip joint is increasingly frequent and is currently performed for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. It is important to have procedures with precise and reliable techniques that are valid for providing diagnostic information and effective therapeutic action and that are safe, minimizing the risks of complications for patients. The objective of this chapter is to provide guidelines for performing ultrasound-guided infiltrations in the most frequent pathologies in the hip region using techniques that meet all the characteristics previously described. Including the common indications, procedures and pitfalls for intra-articular hip injection, trochanteric bursitis; osteitis pubis; iliopsoas bursitis; hamstring; and deep gluteal space.
