Unusual Movement Disorders

In this chapter, we review unusual disorders with varied and complex phenomenologies. Many of these conditions are exceedingly rare, and some are actionable with negative consequences for the patient if missed. We have found that many trainees and even fellowship-trained movements disorder neurologists may have difficulty making these diagnoses with confidence. For this reason, we have chosen to group unusual movement disorder patients together, to enhance recognition and aid in management.
