摘要

Congenital anomalies of the thoracic aorta involve a wide spectrum of diseases. Most of these are associated with congenital heart disease like bicuspid Aortic Valve, or genetical disorders like Turner syndrome, Marfan syndrome, and Loeys-Dietz syndrome. In few cases, the congenital anomaly leads to an obstructive heart disease as in the case of aortic coartation and Williams syndrome. Aortic arch anomalies represent a broad spectrum of malformations involving the position/laterality of the arch, the pattern of origin, ramification, and course of the vessels originating from it.
