Follow-Up of Untreated Aneurysm
摘要
The wide use of ultrasound as a screening method and the diffusion of advanced CT-angiography and MR-angiography techniques have led to an increase in the diagnosis of aneurysmal aortic pathology, especially in asymptomatic patients with small aneurysms. In this regard, taking into account the concomitant risk factors, specific instrumental surveillance intervals have been defined, stratified according to the size of the aneurysm at diagnosis, in order to monitor the rate of growth over time and diagnose possible complications at an early stage. Different approaches should be considered according to aneurysms characteristics and clinical scenario.
