Properties relevant to suspension stability and drug delivery are discussed, including particle settling, flocculation, particle aggregation, viscosity, zeta potential, and Ostwald ripening. Methods of particle size reduction are introduced, including those that produce nanoparticles. An extensive discussion of relevant excipients is also included.
