Social Change
摘要
It is clear to a growing number of people that we must quickly bring about change for the better on this dual goal—human dignity (justice) and environmental security. To be successful, we need a strategy for change. To bring about constructive change means you need to be fully problem oriented. The social process model that we have been using throughout this book is about humans seeking values through institutions using resources. These are each a lever for change. Empowering people and engaging them in civic-minded activities is key to future improvements. A four-part skill set is necessary for effective leadership and participation in social processes seeking human dignity and environmental sustainability—systematic thinking, observation and research, management, and technical matters.
