Dynamics of a Multi-piston Vibropercussion Mechanism Equipped with a Reaction Weight

Dynamics of a multi-weight vibrating rammer with the physical diagram consisting of an anvil, which consolidates the treated medium via a plate, is considered. The mechanism is fixed on supports bearing a crank drive with phase-shifted crank shafts. The shafts are connected to the main and auxiliary connecting rods. Piston hammers and an additional reaction weight with ram heads, which is spring-biased relative to the supports towards the plate, are fixed on the free ends of the rods. The reaction weight is equipped with an anvil fixed with an adjusting bolt, while the crank drive is equipped with equal-sized crank shafts, which are phase-shifted to 180 degrees, and opposing piston hammers located within the mechanism body. Unlike the known vibrating rammers, the studied mechanism is characterized by sufficiently high consolidation efficiency and stable operation in a wide frequency range.
