The Levels of the Process of Diagnosing and Solving Problems in Social Development

Chapter six explores the micro-, meso-, and macro-levels of intervention, diagnosing, and problem-solving in social development. At the micro-level, solving problems and identifying opportunities involve the individual, family, or small collaborative networks. At the meso-level, we seek to address issues and identify development opportunities and synergies in community, organizational, and business operations. At this level, the creation of meso-scale networks, the development of social capital, and the development of the social economy and corporate social responsibility are significant. Finally, intervention at the macro-level relates to problems at the policy and large-scale-system level. Data processing and analysis of broader social groups facing problems such as marginalization, poverty, delinquency, and xenophobia is explored.
