Telemedicine and Blockchain in the Health Sector: Development of a Tele-radiology Program

The need for doctors is becoming more and more pressing in Morocco because of the poor distribution of human resources, insufficiency of laureates in number, emigration of doctors and aging of the population... Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been integrated into daily medical practice, which have given birth to e-health. Telemedicine is a part of e-health which is, according to the public health code, a form of remote medical practice using ICT. For the implementation of such a technology it is necessary to master its legislative framework as well as integrated a strong and unforgeable technology for security and traceability. The blockchain is interesting for several of its functionalities, its immutability which makes it an excellent support to authenticate sensitive data, etc. This paper aims to identify relevant literature related to telemedicine and blockchain in the health sector, review and summarize methodologies and results, and propose a model of tele-radiology.
