These illnesses cause a progressive deterioration of health that comes on suddenly and necessitates medical attention. As a result, people can only avoid the potentially fatal illness if they closely monitor their health. Users of health recommendation systems can continuously monitor their health and receive the best possible health advice. Numerous online health portals currently offer articles with non-personalized health information. Finding information pertinent to one’s health, understanding it in context, and grasping the relationships between technical language can be difficult, too. Some systems already utilize recommender systems to achieve accurate information filtering. In this paper, In order to comprehend how these systems can provide consumers options, locate specific, sophisticated medical therapies, or help them with preventive healthcare measures, we chose to investigate the literature that is currently available in this field. We pinpoint the significant issues that must be solved for recommender systems to provide the type of guidance required in high-risk sectors such as healthcare.
